  • Shape: streamlined oval, made to travel smoothly through rod guides
  • Sizes: Small for 4-6 lb test line; Medium for 6-10 lb test line
  • Loading: pre-threaded wire loops, so there are no knots to tie
  • For: slip bobber and slip float rigs for crappie, bluegill, perch and other freshwater fish

Why an oval stop

On a slip bobber, the stop rides up through your rod guides every time you cast and reel in, especially when you fish deep. The oval, low-profile shape of a Stop Dot is designed to pass through those guides smoothly, with fewer hang-ups, so you can keep your bait at the depth you set around brush piles, standing timber, docks and suspended fish.

Which size do I need?

Small (4-6 lb test line): light-line crappie fishing, finesse techniques and lighter slip bobber setups.

Medium (6-10 lb test line): heavier crappie line around brush piles, standing timber, docks and other cover.

How to put them on

  1. Thread your fishing line through the pre-threaded wire loop.
  2. Slide a Stop Dot off the loop onto your line.
  3. Slide it up or down the line to set the depth you want to fish, and move it again as the fish move.
